In the 1960s and throughout the 1970s, the Sunset Strip was the heart and soul of the contemporary music universe and the Rock and Roll billboards played a huge role. In the following decades, although their relevance had been diminished, some recording artists, like Bruce Springsteen continued to see the value of being present on the Strip in key locations like the side of the world famous Whisky A Go Go.
